What we pour
Tear-out, 6 inches of compacted base, 5-inch slab with #4 bar on chairs. Built for a loaded pickup, not a sedan.
Pitched a quarter inch per foot away from the house. We set the grade with a laser, not a garden hose.
Garages, shops, additions and monolithic footings. Engineer-stamped drawings honored line for line.
Integral colour, ashlar slate and seamless texture. Sample board poured on site so you approve the real thing.
Poured and block walls with drain rock, filter fabric and weeps. Water gets out, so the wall stays put.
Slab jacking, joint repair and overlays — and an honest answer when replacement is the cheaper option.
Five stages, one crew
Stage 01
We walk the grade, find where water goes today, check access for a 10-yard truck and mark utilities. You get a written scope and a fixed price — not a per-yard guess.
Stage 02
Old slab out, soft spots dug out, then 4 to 6 inches of crushed limestone compacted in two lifts with a plate. This is the step most low bids skip.
Stage 03
Straight forms, string-line checked twice, #4 rebar on an 18-inch grid lifted on chairs so the steel sits mid-slab where it actually does work.
Stage 04
Screed, bull-float, edge, then your chosen finish. Control joints saw-cut within 12 hours at one-quarter of slab depth so the slab cracks where we tell it to.
Stage 05
Cure compound the same day, site cleaned, forms pulled at 48 hours. We come back at 28 days to seal, included.

Objection 01
He probably priced 3 inches of concrete on dirt with wire mesh laid flat. That slab looks identical on day one and is spidered by year four. Ask him to put thickness, PSI and base depth in writing.
Objection 02
Every slab moves. The job of a good contractor is to control where. Saw joints at 12 feet, isolation joints at the garage and steel through the middle keep movement in the lines and out of the field.
Objection 03
A standard two-car driveway is out and formed on day one, poured day two, drivable in seven. We schedule the pour date at signing and we do not stack three jobs on one crew.
