Five stages, one crew

Process

  1. Stage 01

    Site
    assessment

    We walk the grade, find where water goes today, check access for a 10-yard truck and mark utilities. You get a written scope and a fixed price — not a per-yard guess.

  2. Stage 02

    Excavation
    & base

    Old slab out, soft spots dug out, then 4 to 6 inches of crushed limestone compacted in two lifts with a plate. This is the step most low bids skip.

  3. Stage 03

    Forms
    & rebar

    Straight forms, string-line checked twice, #4 rebar on an 18-inch grid lifted on chairs so the steel sits mid-slab where it actually does work.

  4. Stage 04

    Pour
    & finish

    Screed, bull-float, edge, then your chosen finish. Control joints saw-cut within 12 hours at one-quarter of slab depth so the slab cracks where we tell it to.

  5. Stage 05

    Cure
    & seal

    Cure compound the same day, site cleaned, forms pulled at 48 hours. We come back at 28 days to seal, included.

Every estimate we write names the numbers below. If a competing bid doesn't state slab thickness, PSI, base depth and joint spacing, you are not comparing the same job.

Objection 01

“Another guy quoted 30% less.”

He probably priced 3 inches of concrete on dirt with wire mesh laid flat. That slab looks identical on day one and is spidered by year four. Ask him to put thickness, PSI and base depth in writing.

Objection 02

“Will my driveway crack?”

Every slab moves. The job of a good contractor is to control where. Saw joints at 12 feet, isolation joints at the garage and steel through the middle keep movement in the lines and out of the field.

Objection 03

“How long will my drive be blocked?”

A standard two-car driveway is out and formed on day one, poured day two, drivable in seven. We schedule the pour date at signing and we do not stack three jobs on one crew.
